Headteacher's Welcome It has been a super week in school this week! On Monday the children enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas which they loved! On Tuesday our Choir impressed their audience with a fabulous Christmas concert - they were AMAZING!! Thursday was Christmas party day where the children enjoyed showing off their moves on the dance floor, playing games and of course enjoying the fabulous food - thanks for all your donations! The children are looking forward to singing some Christmas favourites to parents and carers this afternoon at 2:00pm - the gates will open at 1:45pm. Parents can collect their children from their classrooms after the singing. A big thank you to all our amazing staff team who have worked tirelessly this term to make nativities, parties, Christmas singing and all the special things happen whilst ensuring the children access an exciting and engaging curriculum. And thanks to our fabulous parent community for all of your ongoing support - thanks for all the cards and gifts which are hugely appreciated! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas - have a fun filled festive, family break! See you in 2026!

Notes from the Teachers Thank you for all the party donations - the children had a fabulous time!
Contact with Teachers If you need to contact your child's class teacher you may email them using the class email which is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, koalas@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk etc Please do not expect an immediate response as teachers are teaching all day and are not expected to reply to emails during evenings and weekends. For a quick chat you can wait at the end of the day. For urgent messages please contact the school office. |

Thanks again for supporting the NGIS PTA Christmas Movie Night and Santa’s Grotto! Movie Night raised an AMAZING £554 for the school! A special thank you to the teaching staff and PTA volunteers who made this possible. Santa’s Grotto on Monday raised a further £400 ish! So we’re finishing 2025 on a financial and festive high!!
We just wanted to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you for your incredible support this year which has helped us organise lots of events that have entertained the children and raised funds for our lovely school. We couldn't have done it without all the volunteers that have helped us along the way, particularly those that have helped out at events. Your continued support is very much appreciated. We hope you all have a lovely festive period with your loved ones and all our best wishes for the New Year. See you in 2026!

Dates for the Diary Please see attached the Parent Calendar for this year. Please take a few minutes to take note of dates including INSET and holiday dates, Parents' Evenings, Parent workshops to find out about learning in school and performances.
Notes about the calendar: 'Friendly Friday' - every 4th Friday that the children are in school parents will be invited into classrooms from when they open at 8:40am until when the bell rings at 8:55am. Initially this will just be Y1 and Y2 classes whilst the new Reception children settle.
