| Kangaroo class have been looking for signs of Winter in the woodland. It was very cold! We will think about what we saw when we write our Winter poetry next week. |
Year 1 and Year 2 children have been reading the Christmas story 'Babushka'. In Elephants we used the beautiful illustrations as inspiration for creating our own snowy village setting. We then used our illustrations to write a description of what it would be like if we visited them.
In our artwork we have been looking at primary and secondary colours. We have investigated these along with various pattern making skills to create a basis for some Eric Carle inspired collages.
We have been learning about the season of Advent. The Year 2 children have made a fresh wreath and a range of small wreaths.
This has helped us in understanding why this is an important time for Christians.
