Headteacher's Welcome It has been another busy week in school! The Y1 and Y2 children loved their visit from Mr Sanderson - a Real Life Firefighter! They asked him lots of questions and really enjoyed learning about what life is like for a real firefighter! Christmas Fair Thanks so much to all of our PTA volunteers for organising a fabulous Christmas Fair last Friday - it was enjoyed by all and really helped everyone to get into the Christmas spirit.
Movie Night - TONIGHT 5:00pm! Please make sure you have read the instructions for Movie Night attached here. Booking is now closed so please don't bring your child unless they are booked in. Drop Off at 5:00pm – Enter and exit via main gate Doors will open at 5:00pm – the movie will start at 5:10pm. There will be 3 drop off points:
Pick up 6:30pm Bring a water bottle.
The Christmas Post delivery service is now open! Please make sure children write their friends name and class on the envelope otherwise Santa's elves will not know where to deliver the cards!

Preschool Update
January starters
We are really looking forward to meeting our new Preschool children next week for home visits. Parents who have requested a home visit should have received an email with their time and date. Dates and times for the stay and play session the following week have also been sent out.

Notes from the Teachers Christmas Parties in all classes will take place on Thursday 18th December. Please see the attached letter with instructions of what to bring.
Reception Church Visit - Thursday 11th December Reception classes will be visiting Christ Church Fulwood next Thursday - please ensure they have warm waterproof clothing. Contact with Teachers If you need to contact your child's class teacher you may email them using the class email which is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, koalas@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk etc Please do not expect an immediate response as teachers are teaching all day and are not expected to reply to emails during evenings and weekends. For a quick chat you can wait at the end of the day. For urgent messages please contact the school office. |

THANK YOU for supporting the NGIS PTA Christmas Fair and Movie Night! The Christmas Fair raised an AMAZING £510 for the school! This wouldn’t have been possible without such generous donations from parents and carers – THANK YOU!
We hope the children have a great time at movie night! We hope they enjoy the popcorn as much as the movie!!
Reminder: Santa’s Grotto – Monday 15th December There’s LOTS going on in school over the next few weeks but we think the MOST exciting event is Father Christmas’ visit on Monday 15th December! The children will get chance to visit him in his festive grotto in small groups during the normal school day. He will be giving them each a small gift! If you’ve missed the ParentPay deadline, please get in touch with the Office Team as soon as possible.

Dates for the Diary Please see attached the Parent Calendar for this year. Please take a few minutes to take note of dates including INSET and holiday dates, Parents' Evenings, Parent workshops to find out about learning in school and performances.
Notes about the calendar: 'Friendly Friday' - every 4th Friday that the children are in school parents will be invited into classrooms from when they open at 8:40am until when the bell rings at 8:55am. Initially this will just be Y1 and Y2 classes whilst the new Reception children settle.
