Headteacher's Welcome It has been a super week in school this week! On Monday the children enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas which they loved. On Tuesday our Choir impressed their audience with a fabulous Christmas concert - they were AMAZING!! Thursday was Christmas party ay where the children enjoyed showing of their moves on the dance floor, playing game and of course enjoying the fabulous food - thanks for all your donations! Th children are looking forward to singing some Christmas favourites to parents and carers this afternoon at 2:00pm - the gates will open at 1:45pm.
Thanks for all the cards, gifts and for you ongoing support. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas -have a fun filled festive, family break! See you in 2026!

Preschool Update
It has been lovely to meet our new Preschool children this week at our stay and play sessions. We are really looking forward to you joining us in January.

Notes from the Teachers Thank you for all the party donations - the children had a fabulous time!
Contact with Teachers If you need to contact your child's class teacher you may email them using the class email which is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, koalas@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk etc Please do not expect an immediate response as teachers are teaching all day and are not expected to reply to emails during evenings and weekends. For a quick chat you can wait at the end of the day. For urgent messages please contact the school office. |

We hope the children are enjoying all of the festive activities that are happening in school over the next few weeks! There’s a lot to keep track of so just a couple of things from us this week!
Reminder: Santa’s Grotto – Monday 15th December We are most excited about Father Christmas’ visit on Monday! The children will get chance to visit him in his festive grotto in small groups during the normal school day. He will be giving them each a small gift! If you’ve missed the ParentPay deadline, please get in touch with the Office Team as soon as possible.

Dates for the Diary Please see attached the Parent Calendar for this year. Please take a few minutes to take note of dates including INSET and holiday dates, Parents' Evenings, Parent workshops to find out about learning in school and performances.
Notes about the calendar: 'Friendly Friday' - every 4th Friday that the children are in school parents will be invited into classrooms from when they open at 8:40am until when the bell rings at 8:55am. Initially this will just be Y1 and Y2 classes whilst the new Reception children settle.
