Headteacher's Welcome

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of another school year! It has been another wonderful year with so much to celebrate. We have loved the addition of our new Preschool Caterpillar class who have settled so well and brought so much joy to our school. Across all year groups it has been amazing to see the progress the children have made both in their learning and, importantly, in their confidence and independence. 

I would like to say an extra special well done to our amazing Year 2 children who are moving on to embark on new adventures at their junior schools - it has been an absolute pleasure having you in school and getting to know you all so well. Good luck in Year 3!

To the rest of the children in school, I am looking forward to hearing about all your holiday fun in September and wish you a wonderful summer break.

As you will know we are also saying goodbye to some of our wonderful staff team. Mrs Keeling is retiring after over 25 years of absolute commitment to the children of Nether Green Infants - she is loved by children and parents alike and for many children in the community she has been the one that has supported them at the very beginning of their special journey through school. Mrs Keeling has dedicated so much of her time, energy and love to our school and on behalf of the children, families and staff I would like to express an enormous thank you. Enjoy your well earned retirement Mrs Keeling!

We also say goodbye to Mrs Steeper who is also retiring and has worked as a Teaching Assistant with us for over 16 years. Amongst many other things we will miss her green fingers where she has shared her passion for gardening with the children alongside her gentle and caring approach. 

Miss Bennett is also moving on having chosen a change in career and we would like to thank her for her hard work and wish her every success in her new role. 

I would like to thank you all for sharing your wonderful children with us and for your ongoing support - for those of you who are returning we will see you bright and early on Wednesday 3rd September!

We've reached the end of another fantastic school year! We hope you've all enjoyed it and are looking forward to a well-deserved summer break before the excitement of a new school year begins!

We've put together a short end-of-year report, which you can read here. It highlights everything we've organised, the funds we've raised, and the projects we've been able to support for the school over the past year. If you're curious about what the PTA has been up to, do take a look. And if you've ever thought about getting involved, the report also gives a great insight into the kinds of events and activities we organise, and the many ways you can help. We'd always be delighted to welcome new volunteers.

Finally, a huge thank you for all your support over the past year. None of what we've achieved would have been possible without the generosity, enthusiasm and encouragement of our wonderful school community.

We wish you and your families a happy, relaxing and fun-filled summer holiday. Have a fantastic break, and we'll see you in September!

Extra Curricular Clubs - Autumn Term

There are some places left in all clubs except Forest School.

Please note:-

• Clubs start in week commencing 7th September (week 2)
• There is no Choir until 17th September (week 3)

Wed 2nd Sept - Reception Stay & Play sessions 

Thurs 3rd Sept - Reception 8.50am - 11.45am

Fri 4th Sept - Reception 8:50am - 1:00pm

Fri 4th Sept - Preschool Stay & Play sessions

Mon 7th Sept - Reception children stay all day

W/c 3rd September - No extra curricular clubs this week (ASC is running as normal all week)
