Headteacher's Welcome

It has been such an brilliant week in school with a highlight being the disco yesterday where children loved putting their dancing shoes on to join in with Sparky Marky's fun filled disco! Thanks to the PTA for organising this - it was fabulous!

On Tuesday 7 eggs were delivered to Caterpillars classroom and the Preschool children have been eagerly waiting as the chicks have started to hatch. They have loved seeing the whole process from the first noises and movements of the eggs, to the chicks hatching out then building strength ready for lots of cuddles!

It has been such a fabulous experience for them all!

SCHOOL DISCO – Thank You!

We hope the children had lots of fun at the school disco yesterday evening! It was great to see all their fantastic outfits and impressive dance moves! We hope everyone slept well afterwards!! A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, especially the parents and teaching staff who helped run it — we simply couldn’t have done it without you.

SUMMER FAIR – THURSDAY 19th JUNE

In addition to The Eye Place at Dore and Bakewell, who are generously sponsoring the BBQPeak Fruits at Lodge Moor and Hathersage are very kindly donating the strawberries for our Summer Fair. We’re hugely grateful for their support and would encourage everyone to support these wonderful local businesses if you can.

As you may have seen on the WhatsApp groups, we would be hugely grateful for raffle donations and prizes from local businesses. So, next time you’re visiting your hairdresser, café, golf club, gym or favourite local shop, please do keep the PTA in mind and ask whether they might be willing to support the event. A Summer Fair flyer will be sent home in book bags next week, which you’re very welcome to share when approaching local businesses. Raffle tickets will also be coming home next week, and we’d really appreciate your help in buying and selling as many as you can to support the Fair.

We would also be very grateful of donations to the Children’s Tombola (toys, games, etc.), the 18+ Bottle Tombola and if you could make some (nut free) Treasure Jars – these are always very popular! Please let us know if you’re short of jars!

Finally, if you’re able to volunteer on the day, we would love to hear from you as soon as possible! Volunteer sign-up sheets will be outside school from next week, so please do take a look and see if there’s a stand or game stall you’d like to help with. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful parent community. Many, many thanks to those that have already volunteered! Early sign-up really helps us plan ahead and make the day as enjoyable as possible for everyone!

Many thanks for your continued generosity and support! We can’t wait for another brilliant Summer Fair!

Please join us!
