Nether Green Infant School

Science

At Nether Green, we aim to stimulate and enthuse all our children so that they use their investigative and exploratory skills to discover new
things.
To enable us to produce inquiring and enthusiastic scientists we present opportunities for the children to make observations, explore,
investigate, problem solve and experiment. We develop useful knowledge, skills and attitudes about the world in which we live .
Science is also a time for the children to be encouraged to work through whole class, group or individual investigations, designed to arouse
the children’s natural curiosity

Science Week - March 2024

We had a super Science week!

We loved visitors coming into our classes and telling us all about their scientific jobs.

'Amazelabs' were amazing! We found out all about dry ice and enjoyed making lava lamps and exploding rainbows!

We did lots of exciting experiments in our classrooms all week.

Our children love taking their learning outside. We have been exploring local habitats and micro-habitats in our woodland area.
