Our vision is to prepare children for life.

We provide them with the skills, interest, enthusiasm, curiosity and persistence to help them on their lifelong learning journey.

Our Values  

Nether Green Infant School is an inclusive, community school where every pupil and member of staff matters.

The children are at the centre of all we do and everyone shows mutual respect and consideration for others in our school community.

We have high expectations for all in our school and we are keen to help each other.

We have six Whole School Values that we teach children about. We talk about them in assemblies, in circle time in classrooms and part of our everyday life in school. 

These values are:-

• Honesty
• Teamwork 

We believe that teaching these values as an integral part of life at Nether Green Infants will equip our children with the skills they need for life in today's society. 

We are a school for all and promote the key British Values through the teaching of our Whole School Values:

Democracy

Children are involved in voting e.g. for activities, school council members

Children meet in groups such as the Green Team which helps them learn about democratic processes

We link this to our School Value of Teamwork

Individual Liberty

Children are encouraged to make choices within a safe and supportive environment

Children learn about boundaries and how to make safe choices

Children are given the choice throughout the day e.g. at playtime

We link this to our School Value of Perseverance

Mutual Respect

Lessons are planned to include mutual respect e.g. PHSE and Circle time

Lessons such as PE promote fairness and equality

Children follow school rules which include mutual respect

We link this to our School Values of Kindness, Respect and Responsibility

The Rule of Law

We have whole school behaviour policy and procedures for all to understand and follow

Staff keeps records of behavioural incidents which are shared with the SLT and key stakeholders
