Headteacher's Welcome I hope you have all had a good week. The children in Y1 and Y2 are loving learning about the Great Fire of London! They have been immersed in the learning about the historical story, writing all about what happened, creating some beautiful artwork and experimenting with making their paper look like real paper from the past! Have a look at some of the super learning...
Have a look at our Remembrance Installation - sadly the weather was rather wet last week so not many parents got to see how beautiful it was! Well done to the Year 1 and Year 2 children - it is gorgeous! |

Preschool Update
Spare Clothes
If you have any age 2-3, or 3-4 spare pants, socks, tights, leggings we would be very grateful to receive these. Also any waterproof trousers or coats (not all in ones) that your children may have grown out of would be helpful.
January starters
Please ensure you have completed the admission forms for children starting in January. Booking for Breakfast and After School club will be open soon!

Christmas Fair The Christmas Fair will take place in just a couple of weeks on Friday 28th November, 3.30-4.30pm in the School Hall. We need YOUR HELP to deliver this PLEASE! There are lots of ways you can help:
Thank you! UPDATE: Christmas Cards Well done for all the beautiful Christmas card designs! They have been received by Xmas4Schools and parents should have received an email and/or text message with a unique ordering link. There’s a quick turnaround – the deadline for orders is Wednesday 19th November. *If you sent artwork but haven’t received a link, please contact the PTA or school office ASAP.* PTA Projects The play area at the back of the Kangaroos classroom is coming on well and the children are getting excited to start using it! Thanks to Mr Hopkinson for his work on this so far. The PTA are also going to fund some lighting outside the main gate, as it’s getting a bit tricky without this now the evenings are dark so early! If you’d like to join the PTA WhatsApp group or help us deliver any of the events, please let us know by contacting us at nethergreeninfantschoolpta@gmail.com. Notes from the Teachers
Contact with Teachers If you need to contact your child's class teacher you may email them using the class email which is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, koalas@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk etc Please do not expect an immediate response as teachers are teaching all day and are not expected to reply to emails during evenings and weekends. For a quick chat you can wait at the end of the day. For urgent messages please contact the school office. |

Community News & Events Neurodiversity Support
Neurodiversity Sheffield Early Help Drop-ins - Our informal drop-in coffee sessions are a chance to have a chat with other parents/carers who are experiencing similar concerns. You will also have the chance to meet staff from Neurodiversity Sheffield, Sheffield Family HUBS, Ryegate, and other agencies who support families with neurodivergence. No diagnosis or booking required!

Choir Music The songs have now been uploaded to the website. Click here to listen and practise at home. You will need the password - this has been emailed to parents. A word booklet will be sent home soon. |

Dates for the Diary Please see attached the Parent Calendar for this year. Please take a few minutes to take note of dates including INSET and holiday dates, Parents' Evenings, Parent workshops to find out about learning in school and performances.
Notes about the calendar: 'Friendly Friday' - every 4th Friday that the children are in school parents will be invited into classrooms from when they open at 8:40am until when the bell rings at 8:55am. Initially this will just be Y1 and Y2 classes whilst the new Reception children settle.
