Headteacher's Welcome We have had a really positive week in school with all our new Reception children settling so well and getting used to the new routines of school life. They have been so good at coming into their classrooms in the mornings, having lunch in the hall and play times outside - well done everyone! Lots of children have also used Breakfast and After School Club too. Our Year 1 and 2 children have been super role models too showing the Reception children what to do and helping them. Building Work in School We are pleased to share with you the news that building work will start next Wednesday 17th September for our Preschool which is due to open in January. The Preschool will be situated in the classroom at the front of school which was previously Turtles classroom. We are fortunate that there will be no major disruption to school life, however, a number of small changes will need to happen in order to keep all our children safe. The work which is planned includes:-
Please read the following important information about some changes that will be taking place. Building Work - Implications for Parents... As much of the work is happening on the front of school there will be no access to school via the top gate. As this gate is used for Breakfast and After School we will need to make the following changes for drop off and collection. These changes will come into effect on Mon 15th Sep:- Breakfast Club – Please press the button on the usual buzzer; this will alert staff in the hall that a child is arriving. Please then take your child to the main entrance where they will be collected by a member of the Breakfast Club Team.
After School Club – Please press the button on the usual buzzer; at the gate so that so that staff can see which parent is collecting. A member of ASC staff will then bring your child to the main entrance.
Extra-Curricular Clubs: Please wait on the pavement and collect your child from the main gate. Please be patient whilst staff navigate the new system – our priority is always the safety of our children. There will be a skip on the road at the front of school and there will also be some deliveries; please bear this in mind when choosing where to park in the mornings. |
Lost Property
We already have lots of unnamed items that have been left around school. Please, please, please label everything so it can be returned the correct owner.

Allergies in School We have a number of children in school who have severe allergies. Please do not send any products to school containing nuts. This includes cereal bars, biscuits, peanut butter sandwiches etc Encouraging your child to wash their hands regularly, including before school can also reduce the risk of a reaction. |
