Headteacher's Welcome

We have certainly had a fun filled festive week in school this week!

The Choir excelled themselves on Tuesday, performing brilliantly - I was incredibly proud of all of them! The children had a great time at their parties and have also been very busy creating some fabulous Christmas crafts.

I would like to thank you all for all of your support. We have had a fantastic term in school - the children have made so much progress, are very settled and I am very proud of all of them. Thank you also for your generosity; both in cards and gifts to staff and also with the Amazon wish list.

Have a fabulous Christmas and very happy New Year and we will see you all back on Monday 8th January 2024!

Thank you so much for all your continued support this term. It means that we've been able to start work on the sensory wellbeing garden which, weather permitting, will continue over the Christmas break. We're really hopeful it will be a wonderful space for all the kids to enjoy come the Spring!
We've ended this term with a wonderfully Christmassy week serving refreshments at the Choir Concert and then being Santa's right hand elves during his visit to school on Wednesday. It was so lovely to see all the children so wide-eyed and to hear all the questions they asked him! We hope they all enjoyed it and liked the early gifts they brought home.
Reminder too of our Christmas tree recycling event on Saturday 6th January which is taking place 10am-2pm outside the school. It's £7 per tree which includes a contribution to the PTAs of both the Infants and the Juniors. We'd be ever so grateful if you could help spread the word amongst friends, family and neighbours.
Our next PTA meeting will take place on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 7.45pm. It's a super friendly group and every little bit of help makes a massive difference so we'd love to see you there.

The Big Ambition - Survey
Deadline extended to 19th January 2024
We have been contacted by the Children's Commissioner for England Dame Rachel De Souza and asked to share this survey with parents.
Message from the commisioner...

'I want to ensure that the voices of all children in the Yorkshire and the Humber area are fairly represented in the findings so that I can share their views with the most senior members of the country.

I must reiterate that it is vital that all children have their voice heard through this survey because, as Children’s Commissioner for England, I have a statutory duty to protect and promote the views and interests of children. The Big Ambition provides a much-needed opportunity for the children of England to tell political decision makers what is important to them ahead of the General Election. I will be sharing their responses with Government to ensure that children’s voices are heard.'
