Headteacher's Welcome

We have had such an egg-citing week in school this week! The Reception children were amazing in their Spring Concert; their singing was fabulous and they showed such confidence. The children looked like they were really enjoying the performance and impressed us with how well they had learnt the song words and remembered the actions too - well done Reception!

The children had a super time on Wednesday at the Easter Egg Hunt - they followed a number of clues which led them to some special treats left by the Easter Bunny. Thanks to our fabulous PTA for making this event so much fun!

Thanks to everyone for the egg-stra support this week with making Easter bonnets and other egg-citing creations. The children all looked fabulous!

Take a look on our whole school gallery!

Have a lovely break! I hope you all enjoy some rest, relaxation and quality family time...and of course lots of chocolate!

Rainbow Raffle. Thanks for all the donations.  Winners will be contacted!!
A huge thanks to our PTA for fundraising, planning and helping to create our fabulous new garden area.  Fingers crossed we will get some sunshine after the holidays and be able to use it.
A HUGE Thank You everyone for your support!

Wrap Around Care Update

After a period of ill health Miss Law has taken the decision to step down from her role in school. She has worked at NGIS for a number of years and we know that parents and children have appreciated her work in Breakfast and After School Club.

We are pleased to tell you that Miss Furniss who has been covering the role is taking over permanently as our Wrap Around Care Leader working daily in After School Club. You will have seen a few new faces around school and we also have a new deputy starting after the holidays. We will send out further info after Easter introducing you to the full team.

Easter Healthy Selfie!
The Sheffield School Sport Partnership and Sheffield City Trust would like to invite our children and their parents/carers to take part in an Easter 'HealthySelfie' challenge! Children and their parents/carers are asked to take a selfie photo to show an aspect of 'health and fitness' that they undertook during the Easter break, and submit entries via X / Twitter to be in with a chance for our school to win a visit from a Sheffield City Trust Talented athlete!
All instructions on how to enter are included below:
  1. Be Healthy! Take part in any sport or physical activity throughout the Easter Holidays, cook a healthy meal, or share something positive you have done to support your mental health.
  2. Take a Photo! By entering you give permission for the photo to be shared and used in any promotional material by your school, school sport partnership or Sheffield City Trust.
  3. X / Tweet us! Include your photo and be sure to tag @ArchesSSP and @SheffCityTrust. You must include the hashtag #EasterHealthySelfie to enter!
All entries will be collated via X / Twitter by your School Sport Partnership / Learning Network and entered into a randomised citywide draw. The winner will be contacted via X / Twitter by their SSP/LN to find out which school they attend. The school will then be contacted directly by their School Sport Partnership / Learning Network and Sheffield City Trust to arrange the visit and claim the prize!
We can't wait to see those #EasterHealthySelfie's!
