Headteacher's Welcome

It has been lovely to spend some time in Year 1 and 2 classrooms recently and talk to the children about their learning in History. They have been so enthused and full of knowledge about their current learning about the Great Fire of London. The knowledge they have absorbed on the topic is very impressive! I have read some fabulous Samuel Pepys diary entries this week, seen some super dancing in PE, heard children mastering playing 'London Bridge is falling down' on the chime bars in music as well as seeing some fantastic creative artwork. Take a look below...

Messages  for Teachers

We know for parents there can be quick questions you want to ask teachers, or things you want to mention and that once children get into Year 1 & 2 there are fewer opportunities to do this. We are happy for you to email class teachers but know that sometimes a quick face to face conversation can be easier - teachers are more than happy to have a quick chat once they have handed children over safely to parents at the end of the school day.

The class email is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk,  etc

The Big Ambition - Survey
We have been contacted by the Children's Commissioner for England Dame Rachel De Souza and asked to share this survey with parents.
Message from the commisioner...

'I want to ensure that the voices of all children in the Yorkshire and the Humber area are fairly represented in the findings so that I can share their views with the most senior members of the country.

I must reiterate that it is vital that all children have their voice heard through this survey because, as Children’s Commissioner for England, I have a statutory duty to protect and promote the views and interests of children. The Big Ambition provides a much-needed opportunity for the children of England to tell political decision makers what is important to them ahead of the General Election. I will be sharing their responses with Government to ensure that children’s voices are heard.'
