Headteacher's Welcome

The children have had another great week in school. We have had more parents visiting to talk to the children about their jobs as part of their 'People Who Help Us' topic; this week has included a visit from a nurse, and doctors with a range of specialisms. Thank you to those of you who have volunteered - the children have really enjoyed inviting you into their classrooms.

Yesterday, the children had a fabulous time taking part in the PTA Sponsored Leap! They loved dressing up as frogs and leaping their way onto as many lily pads as possible! Thanks so much to the PTA parents who organised this and helped out with the scoring - it was quick work!

Please remember to send sponsorship money in (details below).

Next Thursday -  7th March
We are inviting everyone to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in their favourite  book to share with their friends. The children will be doing a number of book themed activities including buddy reading with children from other classes.

The next meeting will next place at the Florentine next Tuesday 5th March at 7:45pm - all parents / carers welcome!

Yesterday's Sponsored Leap was so much fun. Everyone received a certificate for taking part and the top leapers in each class will receive a small prize in the Fantastic Friday assembly. If you still have forms and sponsorship money to hand in, it would be great if they could be handed into the office next week. Any online donations can be made here.

Thursday 7th March - World Book Day Book Sale
If you have any good quality books you no longer need, please hand them into the office early next week.
Weather depending, the sale will take place outside the school at drop off on Thursday morning (and possibly pick up). We already have lots of brilliant books on offer so it's the perfect opportunity to pick up a good read at a great price.
PTA Rainbow Raffle:
Letters will be sent out with details next week, alongside raffle tickets in book bags so please keep eyes peeled. The prize hampers are definitely worth a win!
Wednesday 27th March - Easter Egg Hunt:
The kids loved our Woodland Hunt last year so we're creating another that will end with each child getting a small edible treat. Please sign up and pay via ParentPay if you'd like your child to take part.
