Headteacher's Welcome The children in Year 1 and Year 2 have been out into Fulwood this week trying out their map work skills as part of their learning in Geography. They were so sensible - well done! This half term we have been focusing on our school value of Teamwork. We have been reading stories and talking about how we can be a good team player by helping others. We have also thought about how everyone has different talents and skills and by bringing all these skills together we can do amazing things! Together Everyone Achieves More

A few things to note:-
Dates to note:-

Notes from the Teachers Foundation Stage The Weekly Newsletter is available on the school website by following this link: Reception Weekly Newsletter. The topic for this half term in Reception will be 'Once Upon a Time'. Reception Overview - Once Upon a Time If you have any junk modelling items at home (cardboard boxes, tubes etc) it would be great if you could bring them into school for the Reception children to use. Year 1 & Year 2 This half term the topic is 'Brilliant Britain'. The children will be doing lots of exciting learning linked to the theme. Messages for Teachers Just a quick reminder that you are more than welcome to speak to class teachers at the end of the day if you have quick questions. The class email is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, etc |

Snacks in School
We have noticed an increasing number of children bringing additional snacks to school. Every morning all children are given the option of a piece of fruit (or veg) at snack time. If your child prefers to bring a piece of fresh fruit instead of this, they are welcome to do so and put it in their drawer. However, we request that processed fruit bars, cereal bars, biscuits and other snacks are not sent in as we have children in school with allergies and we need to be very careful about who is being exposed to different foods. If you are not sure whether your child is allowed to bring a particular food please check with their class teacher. |
Thank You!!
Thank you for all your generous donations! Leftovers will be for sale outside school at the end of the day. PTA Update
Here is a link to a more detailed update from the PTA:
We thought it was a good time to share a summary of who we are, what we do and why it's so important. In there you'll also find a list of all the events we have planned for this term, plus a heads up on the big summertime dates - the school disco and the summer fair!
Upcoming Events
Finally, thanks to all who visited our second hand uniform sale last week - we raised over £120! The payment machine was a little temperamental that day as well so that's amazing. The online link is here in case anyone is still looking to donate (same for cake sale, just adapt the reference): PTA Donations Page
