Headteacher's Welcome It has been a great week in school and has been lovely to see a little bit of sunshine! It was great to welcome so many parents into school this morning for our Friendly Friday book look - the children were very proud to share their learning with you. It is wonderful to see the progress made this term already - well done to all the children for settling so well and working so hard! The classes in Year 1 & Year 2 have voted in their school councillors for this year. There are two representatives from each Y1 & Y2 class. These children will work with me to ensure that the views of all of our children are shared and they will also have the responsibility of working on various projects and sharing any key information, concerns or questions from their class. The Y1 & 2 councillors will always ensure that Reception classes are included in any voting and decision making and they will also pass on key information from any meetings we have.

Online Safety Each half term we have an Online Safety assembly; this is delivered to all the children in Y1 &Y2 in the hall. For Reception the same messages are shared with the children in their classrooms. This week's focus was 'Screen Time'. The assembly was about screen time and talking about how screen free activities can benefit our mental health and well being. We talked about how we all use screens as part of our everyday life and this can be good - things such as playing games with friends, face timing friends and family etc. We also talked about what it means to be screen free and what might be the problem with too much screen time, for example getting frustrated, seeing lots of adverts, accidentally finding things that we don't like online.
You can click to see the presentation that was shared so that you can see the information presented and also reinforce key messages at home.
