Headteacher's Welcome

This week, it was the turn of the Reception children to show off their talents! They performed their Spring Concert, which was absolutely brilliant. They remembered so many words by heart, joined in with actions, sang beautifully, and did it with a smile on their faces. It is amazing to see how much they have grown in confidence since starting in Reception.

Well done, Koalas and Bears - we are super proud of all of you!

I hope you all have a lovely break over the holidays. It sounds like lots of families are taking advantage of the early holidays and getting away to some really exciting places. There have been some very excited children in school this week! Whatever is on your agenda, I hope you have a lovely break with your family. It looks like the sun will be shining next week in Sheffield, so that's a bonus for us all!

We will see you back after the holidays. This is just a reminder that parents are welcome to join us for the Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday, 17th April. The gate will open at 1:30 pm with the Junior School children parading the playground from about 1:45pm. You will be able to take your child home afterwards if you wish. Please note there is no Choir after school on Thursday, 17th April, but Forest Club is going ahead as usual.

Happy Holidays!

  Online Safety Assembly

This half term's assembly was focussing on Online Safety Rules.

Zog came to visit the children in assembly needing help with his homework on Online Safety. The children helped him to sort a series of scenarios into things that they should and shouldn't do online. This included things like sharing personal details (name and address), sending photos to people they don't know, alongside things to do if unsure - most importantly to ask a grown up if they ae unsure. We summarised by looking together at our whole school 'Rules to Stay Safe Online' These are attached below so you can see them and discuss them with your child.

Just a reminder that we have an NSPCC Online Safety Talk for parents and carers on Wednesday 30th April at 9:30am. This will take place online - we will send joining details closer to the time.

                              PTA NEWS

Congratulations to the Rainbow Raffle winners! We hope you enjoy the contents of your colourful hampers over the Easter holiday!

The PTA met on Tuesday evening to finalise plans for the Easter Egg Hunt which will take place during school on Wednesday 16th April. We hope the children will enjoy deciphering the clues as much as the chocolate!!

We are excited to announce that the School Disco will take place on Thursday 15th May, 17:30-18:30. One of Sheffield's favourite kids entertainers, Sparky Marky is booked and ready to rock! More info to follow.

We have also started to plan the NGIS Summer Fair which will have a pirate theme and will take place on Friday 20th June from 15:20 to 17:00. We need LOTS of volunteers to help us prepare and man the stalls on the day! Please look out for a list of stalls you can volunteer for outside school in the new term. If you can come along to the next PTA meeting on Tuesday 6th May to help plan the event too, that’d be a brilliant help.

Finally, if you are doing any online shopping over the holidays, please remember to make a donation to school by signing up for easyfundraising. At no extra cost to you, over 8,000 brands (including M&S, John Lewis, Amazon, Ticketmaster, Waterstones, Booking.com, the list goes on!) make a percentage donation to our lovely school.

Thank you for your continued support!

This could be anything from fun physical activity, a sport, making a healthy snack or even something you have done to positively affect their mental health! The photos will be added to our Healthy Selfie display in the hall. Please could you send your Healthy Selfie photos to enquiries@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk.
